Young Maestro is designed for ease of use across a wide range of classroom devices. It runs entirely in your web browser—no software installation required.

1. Device Compatibility

Young Maestro is compatible with most devices commonly used in Australian classrooms:

  • Laptops & Desktops: Windows, macOS, Chromebook

  • Tablets:

    • iPads running iPadOS 13 or later

    • Android tablets running Android 11 or higher

  • Interactive Whiteboards & Touchscreens: Compatible via browser access

  • ⚠️ Mobile Phones: Young Maestro is not supported on mobile phones, even if running Android 11 or later. For the best experience, we recommend using tablets, laptops, or desktops.

2. Operating Systems

We recommend the following minimum versions:

  • Windows 10 and above

  • macOS 11 (Big Sur) and above

  • iPadOS 13 and above

  • Android 11 and above (tablets only)

  • Chrome OS (latest stable version)

3. Web Browsers

For the best experience, use the latest version of:

  • Google Chrome (recommended)

  • Microsoft Edge

  • Safari (for macOS and iPadOS)

  • Firefox

Make sure your browser is kept up to date for full compatibility and security.

4. Internet Requirements

Young Maestro relies on consistent connectivity for streaming and interaction:

  • Recommended bandwidth: 5 Mbps per classroom

  • Connection type: Stable Wi-Fi or Ethernet

  • Allowlisted domains: *.youngmaestro.com.au and all subdomains

  • Firewall/proxy settings: Ensure cloud-based educational tools are not blocked

5. Audio & Visual Setup

  • Speakers or Headphones: Required for listening, singing, and video tasks

  • Microphones (optional): For recording and student submissions

  • Projector or Smartboard: Recommended for full-class delivery

6. Accessibility Features

Young Maestro supports inclusive learning with:

  • Screen reader compatibility

  • Closed captions on videos

  • Keyboard navigation

  • Alt text where applicable

7. IT Setup & Support

No installations are needed. Teachers can log in and begin teaching straight away. For school IT teams, we provide:

  • PDF setup and access guides

  • Domain whitelisting documentation

  • Direct support for school-wide rollout
